The vast majority of Vets are not trained in natural nutrition ?? !! How can that be possible ?? The truth is they can't !! or won't Even some of the vets who are aware of the feeding problem..... May still be unwilling to endorse a diet which apparently now holds so much contoversy, we are living in a day and age where people are sueing each other for all kinds of things........There can be mistakes made with this diet which can also be damaging to a dog's health, alot of vet's would not be prepared to take the responsibility, they are just happy handing out the commercial food, it is easier, less fuss and requires alot less effort on their part as the instructions are on the bag/box/tin, the responsibility is taken out of their hands, will you also deny responsibility for your pet's nutritional requirements??....or will you take the time to discover the benefits that this diet truly contains...will you spare you best friend the time it takes to learn about the correct way to feed this diet? or will you carry on with the commercial? Digest the information on this site, follow the links, decide for yourself.......... It's a never ending circle....And one which can only be broken by feeding your dogs a diet that they were born to eat, a natural diet that let your pet reach it's potential regarding health........don't get caught in the circle !!! In some universities, reps from the dog food companies, come and do presentations on dog diet, as part of the curriculum. Many vets get their education on dog diet by dog food reps. And many vets make a lot of money by retailing dog foods. If you have a vet that doesn't want to be re-educated, or will not discuss options, then that is a very sad state of affairs. Here's hoping you can find a better vet. Given this age of the internet, there is absolutely no excuse for vets not to be educated on all feeding options. And there are plenty of vets on the internet who would gladly converse with other vets about feeding raw. There are plenty of vets out there now who realise that there are significantly better alternatives to commercial dog food. Many vets who have changed their ways are very sorry that they did not "see the light" much earlier.
How can they then determine if an illness is truly medical or diet related ?
and as a result of this, not only are they making money from the pet food they are promoting, they are actually storing up future customers, who in time will probably develope some diet related illness.
